Kathleen A. (Linder) D'Arcy

Kathleen A. (Linder) D’Arcy, 82, of Springfield, and a former longtime resident of East Longmeadow, died early Wednesday afternoon at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer with her loving daughter at her side. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware a daughter of the late William and Eileen (Sheehan) Linder.

Kathleen was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in New Haven, CT and Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticut. She retired after more than thirty-years at Fenway Golf in East Longmeadow in 2018. She volunteered at Westover Air Force Base during Desert Storm, was a longtime active communicant and Greeter at St. Patrick’s Church in Springfield, and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Kathy was the devoted wife of 44 years to Patrick J. D’Arcy who died in May of 2011 and leaves one loving daughter, Jennifer M. D’Arcy of Wilbraham; two cherished identical twin granddaughters, Madison Darcy Guertin and Maura Kathleen Guertin; along with two nieces, Meghan Wixted of Shrewsbury, MA and Heather D’Arcy of Vermont; along with many extended family and friends.  

A  Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM meeting directly at St. Patrick’s Church, 1900 Allen Street, in Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday afternoon, November 15th from 4-6 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., in Springfield. A private burial will take place at Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven.
