Kathleen Margaret (Reilly) Poulopoulos

Kathleen M. (Reilly) Poulopoulos, 86, of Hampden, passed away on Saturday morning, November 23, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born in Springfield on June 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Michael and Kathleen (Healey) Reilly. She was a graduate of Springfield Trade High School. Kathleen was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Luke in East Longmeadow and the Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers Joseph, Jack and Francis Reilly and a sister Margaret Bednarz. Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-five years George Poulopoulos of Hampden, and five devoted children Jo-Ann Sheaff and her husband Roland of Monson, Kathy Gassnola and her husband Norman of Hampden, Lee-Ann Sheehan and her husband Denis of Monson, Judith Poulopoulos of CT., and George Poulopoulos of Holyoke. She leaves seven cherished grandchildren Lance Gouvan, Danielle Scheible, Nicholas Gassnola, Kristina Hawley, Marisa Tranghese, Moira and Keeley Sheehan and five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Bradyn, Brody, Landon and Nason. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will gather and remember Kathleen on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. Kathleen’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Luke, 400 Prospect Street, East Longmeadow. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 815 Worcester St, Spfld, MA 01151. The Poulopoulos family would like to thank Dr. Francis Murray and his staff for the compassionate care and support given to Kathleen over the years.
