Leroy S. Roberts, 85, of Springfield, formerly of Kingston Jamaica, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the comfort of his home with his loving wife at his side. He was born and educated in Kingston, Jamaica a son of the late Iram and Edwina (Johnson) Roberts and migrated to Springfield in 1989. Leroy was a licensed electrician his entire life working both in Jamaica and more recently here in Vernon, CT with Amerbelle Textile Corporation from which he retired in 2007. He enjoyed watching the games of Cricket, tennis and basketball as well as the company and socializing with his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of over 55-years, Norah N. (McCreath) Roberts of Springfield; three sons, Mark Roberts of Canada, Andrew Roberts and his wife Lorna Morgan Roberts of FL, and Paul Roberts of Springfield; four daughters, Jennifer Roberts and Peir Roberts and her husband Donavan Castell both of Jamaica, Sophia Roberts and her husband Lawford Fletcher of Chicago, IL, and Nadine Roberts of FL; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Leroy was predeceased by his four brothers, Winston, Lloyd “Vidal”, Carlton and Arthur Roberts. Relatives and friends may gather on Sunday, June 26th from 3-5 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street in Springfield. His funeral and burial will take place on July 22nd In Kingston Jamaica with burial in Dovecot Memorial Park Cemetery.
