Linda Marie Sears

SPRINGFIELD – Linda M. (Phaneuf) Sears, 77, passed away on January 3, 2021 with her family by her side. Linda was born on May 23, 1943 to parents Arthur J. and Ruth M. (Loiselle) Phaneuf. She was locally educated and later worked as a cashier for Foodmart before her retirement. Linda was married to her childhood sweetheart, Raymond L. Sears for 56 years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking anything that would bring her family together, and could often be found walking in Forest Park. To cherish her memory Linda leaves her husband, Raymond Sears of Springfield; children Michael Sears, Bryan Sears, Jennifer Sears and fiance Jay Kalish all of Springfield, and Kristopher Sears and his wife Nicole of Feeding Hills; sister Joanne Oberbeck of Florida; beloved grandchildren Jackie, Mike, and Samantha Sears, Sara Havriliak, and Austin and Jaxson Kalish; and great-grandchild Sawyer Sears. In addition to her parents Linda was predeceased by her brother Arthur N. Phaneuf. Visitation for Linda will take place on Thursday, January 7, from 5PM-8PM at Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., Springfield. A Funeral Home Service will take place on Friday, January 8, beginning at 10AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St, Springfield.
