Louis H. Twining III

Louis H. “Rick” Twining, III, 78, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2022. Rick was born on March 10, 1944, the son of the late Louis and Rose (Bongiovanni) Twining. Rick was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School, Class of 1962. He also was a graduate of Holyoke Community College. Rick owned and operated Fred’s Shoe Inc., in Breckwood Plaza in Springfield for many years. Rick was a Master Mechanical Judge of the National Corvette Association.  He also was into drag racing, motorcycle racing, and was a member of the Strokers Hot Rod Club. He is survived by his two sisters Patricia Ruggeri of Springfield, Linda Marini and her husband Lee of Hampden, his partner Catherine Evans of Springfield, two nephews Corby Marini and his wife Patricia of Hampden, Keith Marini of Ludlow and a niece Sherri Marini of Cummings, GA., and he was also predeceased by his beloved cat Buddie. All Service and burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield.
