Marie A. (Lohan) Brown

Marie (Lohan) Brown, 85, of the Hungry Hill Section of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. Marie was born in Springfield on November 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Thomas and Kathleen (Malarkey) Lohan. Marie was a graduate of Cathedral School. She also was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband George H. Brown and a brother Fr. Thomas Lohan. Marie is survived by her four devoted children George Brown and his wife Vickie of West Springfield, Joseph Brown and his wife Sylvie of Feeding Hills, Kathleen Brown of East Longmeadow and Thomas Brown and his wife Jennifer of East Longmeadow, she also leaves a sister Rita Lonergan of Longmeadow and nine adored grandchildren Jheremy, Lauren, Eric, Kelsie, Alexander, Ryan, Tyler, Jordan and Lindsay. Mrs. Brown’s funeral (meet directly at church) will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA, 01104, Burial will conclude in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 form 1pm-3pm. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind 799 West Boylston Street, Worcester, MA, 01606.
