Marie (Baillergon) Chouinard

Marie (Baillargeon) Chouinard, 73 of Springfield, passed away on January 21, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Marie was born in Springfield on June 1, 1948, the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (van der Singel) Baillargeon. Marie graduated from Cathedral High School in 1966.  Marie the mother of three and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Springfield Technical Community College with a nursing degree in 1981. Marie dedicated 30 years of her life and career to helping others as nurse, and nurse manager at Baystate Medical Center. In addition to her parents’, she was also pre-deceased by her beloved husband Alfred Chouinard and two brothers Charles and James Baillargeon, along with her daughter-in-law Heather Day Williams. Marie is survived by her four devoted sons, Michael Williams and his wife Denise of Milford, N.H., Christopher Williams of Quincy, MA., Robert Williams and his wife Kristi of Chelmsford, MA., and James Chouinard and his wife Brenda of Harwich, MA. She is also survived by her brother Peter Baillargeon and his wife Terry Frisino of Agawam. Marie leaves behind six loving grandchildren Zachery, Gavin, Joshua, Page, Meadow and Rowan Williams.  Marie was a wonderful mother, grandmother with a fierce devotion of love for her family.  She loved her Bird Shadow and her rescue dog Finnie.  Marie’s hobbies were reading, crafts and online gaming, with her extended family on LOTRO. Family and friends will gather and remember Marie on Friday, January 28th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield.  Followed by a Funeral Home Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. www.byronkeenan.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.stjude.org.
