Mary A. (Carney) Cipriani-Allen

On Monday, August 14, 2023, Mary A. (Carney) Cipriani-Allen, 92, passed peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her caring family.  Mary was born and educated in Springfield and was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Anna (Liebel) Carney.  She was employed for many years with the City of Springfield as a paraprofessional. 

Mary was predeceased by her husbands, Aldo A. Cipriani (1951-1983) and Charles W. Allen (1993-2010), her son, Thomas A. Cipriani, as well as her five siblings, Frederick, Joseph, Anne, Eugene and George and son-in-law Daniel E. Hellyer. 

She leaves six loving children, Theresa A. Hellyer of East Longmeadow, Anthony A. Cipriani and his partner Rene Bouchard of East Longmeadow, Todd A. Cipriani and his wife Bonnie of Mashpee, Timothy A. Cipriani of Houston, TX, Tina M. Escobar and her husband Carlos of Hampden and Aldo A. Cipriani and his wife Linda of Northampton.  She also leaves nine adoring grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, August 18, from 9 -11 am at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow.   Burial to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield.
