Mary Grace (Masterson) Frederick

Mary Grace (Masterson) Frederick, a longtime resident of East Longmeadow, MA., passed away August 1, 2022. Born on February 5, 1935, in Springfield, MA, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Florence (Lesnau) and Charles Masterson. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Frederick and devoted mother to Susan Fenoff and her husband, Daniel, of West Virginia, Martha Commisso and her husband, Frank, of East Longmeadow, Mark and his wife Suzanne, of Westfield, Indiana, and John and his wife, Valerie, of East Longmeadow; her cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Rebekah, Sarah, Annie, Zachary, Lisa, Matthew and Daniel. She leaves behind her sister, Genevieve McLaughlin and her husband Daniel, and sister Irene Stephens, along with many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Sister Barbara Masterson, a Maryknoll nun, her brother, Charles (Chuck) and his wife Elaine Masterson. Mary graduated from Cathedral High School and married Richard (Rich), her high school sweetheart. They spent 60 plus years together. Mary was employed at AT&T for two years and then chose to come home to raise her children and devote her life to her family. She was the wife and mom who was always there, with a home-cooked meal waiting on the table, and to listen to stories of her husband’s day at work and children’s day at school. She loved music and to be at the ocean but most of all she loved people. A private Liturgy Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Michael’s Church. Burial will also be private.
