Michael A. Nutting

Michael A. Nutting, 66 a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, December 16, 2019. He was born on December 6, 1953 the son of the late Charles J. and Carmella (Rossetti) Nutting. Michael served with the Springfield Police Department until his retirement in 1993. He loved taking rides on his motorcycle and spending his free time with his wife Michelle and his loyal companion Chico in their second home in Wells Beach, Maine. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by a brother Larry Nutting. He is survived by his wife Michelle Schweitzer of Springfield, four children Michael Nutting, Jr., of Houston, TX., Carmella Nutting of Springfield, Jennifer DeJesus of Springfield and Tania Nutting of West Springfield and a brother Mark Nutting of East Longmeadow and he leaves eight adored grandchildren and one great grandchild and his step-mother, Betty Nutting of Suffield, CT.
