Mildred Degon, 99, of Heritage Woods, Agawam MA, formerly of Springfield MA, passed away on September 15, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Degon; brother Carl Degon and his wife Dorothy.  She is survived by her nephew Steve Degon of Punta Gorda, FL; great nephew Dr. Mike Degon; and great niece Carolyn Degon. Born Malone, NY, Mildred came to Springfield when she was 8 years old. She worked at Eastern States Farmers Exchange which later became Agway. She also worked at the Springfield Armory during the war. Mildred enjoyed volunteering at Baystate Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Brightside for Children in the Infant Care division.  A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Springfield MA on Thursday, September 21 at 10 am.  Burial will be private.
