Nancy Elizabeth Albert

Nancy Elizabeth Albert, 83, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Agawam, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home in Florida. Nancy was born in the Scitico section of Enfield, CT on August 27, 1935. She was a graduate of Commerce High School Class of 1952.  Nancy worked in the Banking Industry for over thirty year and retired as Assistant Vice President for United Bank in 1952. She was a member of the Women’s Partnership Springfield Chamber, and also was awarded Woman of the Year in 1996. Nancy was a member of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. She was a Springfield school volunteer and also volunteered at WGBY. Nancy is survived by her devoted sister, Carol McGovern of Springfield; five nephews, Mark McGovern and his wife Monica and their son Matthew, Jeff McGovern and his wife Emily and their son Tomas, Glenn McGovern, David Albertowicz and his wife Paula and Richard Albertowicz and his wife Laurie; a niece, Diane Lawler and her husband Arthur; and her aunt, Henrietta Trapanese. Nancy was predeceased by her mother, Ina Flanagan and her brother-in-law, Richard McGovern. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, in Springfield. Burial will follow in New Hazardville Cemetery, in Enfield, CT. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
