August 27, 1952 ~ March 21, 2022 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Tribute

Naomi Tamar Sharon Mitchell, 69, passed peacefully into the light, surrounded by love, in the early hours of March 21, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Naomi is survived by her dedicated husband, Frank J. Mitchell and their daughter, Elizabeth S. Mitchell; her younger brother, Rafael Sharon and his wife Laura, her sister, Carmel Sharon Warner and her husband Jim, Frank’s sisters, Mary Mitchell and her husband Joe Aiello, and Margaret Mitchell Royston and her husband Larry. Naomi also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

Naomi was among the gentlest, warmest souls those who knew her had the privilege to know. She was an avid lover of the outdoors and her most beloved memories were of hiking the Rocky Mountains. In her professional career she had been a psychologist who worked with children, often using art therapy to improve their lives and wellbeing. She was a lover of music, of beaches, and of adventure, values which she instilled in her beloved daughter, Lizzy. Naomi was a dedicated, loving mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, and she will be deeply missed.

Her funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2021, at Byron Keenan Funeral Home in East Longmeadow, MA. Burial and reception to follow. All are welcome to come share in the celebration of Naomi’s life. If you would prefer to make a donation rather than sending flowers, Naomi was a lover of animals who often donated to the MSPCA, and we know she would be happy for donations to be made in her name.
