Norma Jean (Defoe) Marron, 74, a longtime resident of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. Norma was born in Monson, MA, on January 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Michael and Gladys (Worth) Defoe. Norma loved cooking and baking, she loved to swim, but most of all she loved spending time with her loving family. In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by a sister Christina Davis and brother Melvin Defoe. She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-nine years of marriage Lawrence Marron of Springfield, two daughters Tina Defoe-Cooper and her husband Michael of Coconut Creek, FL., and Karen Laroche, a brother Kenneth Defoe, and four grandchildren Tansey Lowe of Deerfield Beach, FL., Kyle, Tyler and Jessica. She also leaves a host of other loving family members. Family and friends will gather to remember Norma on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2-4p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA.
