Patricia Ann Moriarty

Patricia Ann Moriarty left this world on December 31, 2020 with her beloved daughter Laura by her side. Patricia was born in Holyoke, MA to the late Doris (Graffam) Moriarty and Edward Moriarty. She lived her early life in Holyoke, but followed her heart to California where she lived for a number of years before settling in Shelburne falls, MA to be close to her family. Patricia attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Holyoke High School in 1971. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s Studies with honors from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She served several communities in Western Massachusetts and in Southern California as a bilingual social worker for many years. Patricia was predeceased by her parents Doris J. Moriarty and Edward J. Moriarty and her son-in-law David Wojcik, whom she loved very dearly. David passed in early December. She is survived by her daughter Laura Moriarty, who was the center of her universe, as well as her sisters, Mary Hapeman (John) and Joan Trifone (Paul) and her nieces Heather Spencer, Megan Piorek (Jason) and Joanne Putnam (Timothy) as well as her nephew Phillip Hapeman. Funeral services will be private and Patricia’s lifetime will be celebrated at a future date. Our hearts are forever broken by the loss of our precious Patricia.
