Richard A. Ross

Richard Alan Ross, 76, of East Longmeadow, a former longtime resident of Hampden, died early Thursday morning, September 30, 2021 at BMC. He was born and educated in Springfield the son of the late Walter A. and Arline V. (Bagge) Ross. Richard served with the Army National Guard and retired from the Hampden Wilbraham Regional School District. He decided after a short time that retirement was not for him so he decided to begin a second career recently retiring from Hannoush Jewelers. In his retirement, Richard became an avid reader; he enjoyed the peace and tranquility of a good book or the newspaper on a daily basis. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his grandson Brandon. Richard is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 55 years, Patricia A. (Markham) Ross and leaves three loving children, Judy Hannouche, Rebecca Ross, and Richard Ross, Jr.; a sister, Diane Samble; a brother, Dale Ross; and his grandson, Brandon Hannouche.
