Tribute

Robert A. Case, 85, a resident of Warren for over 27-years and formerly of Palmer and East Longmeadow, died early Wednesday evening, November 2, 2022 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ludlow a son of the late Howard E. Case Sr. and Imelda T. (Courtemache) Case. Rob began a career spanning over 40 years’ experience as a master carpenter retiring in the early 1990’s. He was responsible for designing and creating the building, which still stands at Leahy Field in the Center of East Longmeadow. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. In his younger years, he coached baseball and basketball as his two sons grew up. Rob also served as a 3rd Degree Mason with the Quaboag Lodge A.F. & A.M. Free Masons. His family would like to thank all of the staff and nurses of Compassus Hospice of Auburn, MA for their kindness and compassionate care extended to Rob during his illness. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of thirty-four years, Anna H. (Samsel) Case and leaves two sons, Glenn A. Case of East Longmeadow, and Todd K. Case and his wife Helen of Hebron, CT; a step-daughter, Deborah Epstein and her husband Tom of St. Louis, MO; a step-son, Michael Martin of Wallingford, CT; his former daughter-in-law, Sarah Case of Wilbraham; one sister, Beverly Thirsher of Palmer; three grandchildren, Brian Case and his wife Marta of East Longmeadow, Steven Case of South Hadley, and Elijah Case of Hebron, CT; one great grand-daughter, Ashleigh Case; and a very good friend of many years, Robert “HR” Bready of Wilbraham.  Besides his parents, Rob was predeceased by his brother, Howard H. Case, Jr. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday evening, November 9th from 4-6 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., in Springfield.
