Ronald Charles Goulet, 80, of Hampden, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Springfield on October 20, 1938, the son of the late Alfred and Irene (Myers) Goulet. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western New England College. He proudly served our country in the United States Army National Guard. Ron worked as a Director of Operations for over 35 years before becoming co-founder, with his son Jeff, of PRN Corporation. He was a past member of the Board of Trustees at Western New England College and a member of the Hampden Lions Club for several years. Ron enjoyed golfing, cooking, and entertaining with family and friends. He also loved vacationing in Wilmington, Vermont. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife Barbara (Houle) Goulet. He is survived by his partner Cheryl Perrault of 23 years; two sons, Jeffrey Goulet of Springfield and Gary Goulet and his wife Jennifer of Feeding Hills; and granddaughter Hailey Goulet; Cheryl’s children Amy Arciere and her husband Joe of Naples, FL; Tom Perrault of Easthampton; two sisters, Carol Semanie of Greenfield and Sharon Rinaldi of Sandwich, MA. Funeral services for Ron will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 starting at 9am from the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, 1900 Allen Street, Springfield. Burial will conclude in Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills. Calling hours will be on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
