Roseann Marie Caputo

March 24, 1962 ~ January 27, 2023 (age 60) 60 Years Old

Tribute

On Stardate 01-27-2023 Roseann Marie Caputo, 60, embarked upon her final mission into the unknown.  Her friends, family, and crewmates wish her well on the journey but will miss her presence here on Earth immeasurably.
Roseann lived a life of compassion and service, having proudly served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. She was a fervent supporter of Make-a-Wish, including running some of the large fan conventions known as WishCon.  And most recently, being primary care giver who just last year saw her beloved aunt to her final destination. Continuing that life of service, Roseann lovingly donated a kidney to a 70yr old man in hopes the family may enjoy more time with him.
Born in Springfield, MA on March 24, 1962, Roseann was the daughter of the late Armando J. and Anna J. (Silvester) Caputo.  She attended schools in Springfield and later graduated Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English. She worked for many years at Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company where she deservedly won a Service Star award and was treated to a trip to Walt Disney World for training.  After leaving MM she devoted the rest of her time to her creativity, be it digital art, jewelry making, writing, or photography. She was poised to open her online store where she could share her joy and creativity with the world after years of hard work putting it together, and was in the process of writing a book.
A lifelong lover and defender of animals, especially red pandas, beagles, bunnies, chipmunks, cardinals, and cats of all types, she was predeceased by her cherished cats Shasta, Fizzgig, Gateway, and Lily.  She was an avid reader, collector, computer gamer, and Trekker. Her passions included architecture, music of all types, art, graphic design, many movies and tv shows, and people. She was definitely a people person.
Roseann is survived by her heartbroken lifelong partner-in-crime Glenn Thibert of Ludlow, two brothers Richard Caputo and his wife Patricia of Springfield and Michael Caputo of Springfield, two nieces Meghan Bricault and her husband Allen and Gina Hartley, three nephews Christopher Caputo, Vincent Castello and his wife Ashley and Alonzo Caputo, and she leaves her adored great- niece Gwendolyn Bricault, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Her positivity, light, love, talent, and charm attracted many close and treasured friends across the country and online who will miss her incredibly. Her life’s energy cannot disappear because energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change. Her life’s energy is now in all she has touched and in those that she has loved. She would want us to Live Long and Prosper.
