Rouhangiz Bahrehmand, 82, of Springfield passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. The oldest of ten children, she was born on June 30, 1937 in Gholhak, Tehran, Iran to the late Abbas Bahrehmand and Fatemeh Jafarkhan.
Rouhangiz was a true angel on earth, who had the ability to give beyond measures to everyone who was related to her as well as to friends and strangers. She was known for her gracious hospitality and immaculate cooking. Her personality was larger than life along with having contagious laughter. Her voice will always be heard and she will always live in our hearts.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hadi; her son, Mehdard; and her son-in-law Navid. Rouhangiz leaves her three loving children, Masoud Tajerha and his wife Karen of Springfield, Marjaneh Tajerha of Sharon, and Mehran Tajerha and his wife Rene of Chicopee; six grandchildren, Brian of Springfield, Shawn of Springfield and his wife Ashley, Nadia of Florida and her husband Austin, Nina of Florida and her husband Steve, Jonathan of Chicopee, and Shirin of Sharon; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Chase; and her living siblings, Parvin Dokht, Azarin Dokht, Houshang, Manouchehr, Simin Dokht, Nasrin, Fariborz, Faramarz, and Yasamin along with their spouses and children. The family would like to recognize a new member (a true angel) Maria for her selfless love, care and devotion. Family and friends may gather at Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield, starting at 10:30am followed by a service at 11:00am. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.
