Thomas L. Grundstrom, 53, of Hampden and formerly of Houston TX, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 28 2017.  Thomas was born on August 11, 1964 in Springfield, the son of Hartley and Leona (Proulx) Grundstrom. Tom was a graduate of Minnechaug High School, Class of 1982. He also was a graduate of Western New England College and he received his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineer.  Tom spent many years working as an electrical engineer. He was an outstanding father, and would always make time for his family. He played with his daughter Natalie every single night. He was the only person that she would allow to style her hair and paint her nails. The two of them would dance around to 70’s rock and roll every night before bed. Tom also loved riding his R250 Honda motorcycle. Thomas was predeceased by his brother, David M. Grundstrom in 2007.  He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi (Barreentos) Grundstrom; his adored daughter Natalie Grundstrom; his parents, Hartley and Leona (Proulx) Grundstrom; his brother Tim Grundstrom all of Hampden; and his sister Sue Guyott and her husband Steve of Spring Hill, FL. Family and friends will gather and remember Tom on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4-6p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, Followed by a Life Celebration at 6p.m. Burial will be private in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
