Thomas P. Morrissey, 72, passed away on December 13, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by those he loved. Son of the late Thomas J. and Theresa L. (Pigeon) Morrissey, Tom was a lifelong Springfield resident who graduated from American International College and enjoyed a career with the U.S. Postal Service. A devout parishioner of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, Tom was also an avid New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan, and will fondly be remembered for his kind heart, mischievous sense of humor and infectious smile. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen and Michael. He is survived by his nephews, David Morrissey of Hopedale, MA and Ryan Morrissey of Pepperell, MA, and their families, as well as a close circle of friends. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning, December 22nd from 9-10 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., in Springfield. A Funeral Home Service will begin at 10:00 AM followed by burial in the Morrissey family lot of St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Avenue, in Indian Orchard.
