Thomas B Sullivan

Thomas Sullivan of Springfield passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023 at the age of 95. Tom was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Sullivan and siblings and in-laws Billy, Peggy, Bunny and Mike Fitzgerald, John and Phyllis, and Bob and Jean. He was also predeceased by his nieces Mary Fitzgerald Krasnoff and Colleen Sullivan Carey as well as Jim Loftus, Jim Coriell, and Lisa Sullivan. Tom is survived by many nieces and nephews Martha Loftus, Hillary Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan (Elane Stock), Lydia Coriell, Betsy Meindl (Bob), Sarah Auvil (Paul), Greg Sullivan (Debbie), Hope Sullivan (Dan Mrvos), Deedee Sullivan, Kate Fitzgerald (Kelley Ashby), Patrick Sullivan and 23 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews. Tom graduated from Cathedral High School and the College of the Holy Cross. He proudly served in the US Marines in the early 1950's. Tom was a lifelong caregiver. He was a doting uncle who enjoyed trips to the beach with his many nieces and nephews as well as church-sponsored bus trips to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play. He took care of his mother in her later life and then cared for his sister Peggy when she needed it. The family would like to give a special thanks to Debbie Sullivan, wife of Greg, for her kind and compassionate care of Tommy over the last several years. Family and friends will gather and remember Thomas on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:30-11:30A.M. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, Followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11:30A.M.
