Umberto Emanuele Macri

Umberto Emanuele Macri, Sr., 94, a lifetime resident of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam. He was born in Springfield, on February 25, 1927, the son of the late Michael and Teresa (Bevilaqua) Macri. Umberto was educated in the Springfield school system and he worked for Astro Chemical in Springfield for many years. He proudly served our country in the NAVY during World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joyce C. (Stenberg) Macri of Springfield and a son David Macri and his wife Lisa of East Longmeadow and he leaves four cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Kara, Alexandria and Christian. Burial and military honors were held privately at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam.
