William J. Lang

William J. Lang, 70 of Springfield, formerly of Hampden, died early Wednesday morning, July 31, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Boston, a son of the late Walter and Adele (Bailow) Lang. Bill earned his Associate degree from UMass and was employed for over thirty years retiring in 2013 from the health service industry as a food service manager/director. He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife, Kathryn (Fitzgerald) Lang of Springfield; three loving children, Robert F. Lang and his wife Jeanne Limoges-Lang of Big Sky, MT, Meaghan K. Cianflone and her husband Anthony of Wilbraham, and Meredith L. Krueger and her husband Jonathan of Somerville, MA; his brother, Timothy Lang of Lake Worth, FL; his sister, Mary Sellers of Falmouth, MA; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Egan and her husband William of Centerville, MA and Mary Warwick and her husband Daniel of Springfield; a brother-in-law, Dr. John K. Laverty of Grand Rapids, MI; six cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Katrina, Nicholas, Anthony, Annabella and Maya; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30- 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. Burial will be private.
