George Stone was one of the finest men I knew. He cared for his fellow man as well as his family and friends. He was a great humanitarian. Everyone loved Uncle George, as he was called by our children, especially on a holiday when he would bring his famous stuffed mushrooms and carrots and onion dish. I would always remind him to bring his sharp knives so he could carve the turkey or ham. We will always miss this man especially around the holidays. In loving memory, Karen and Abel

I have many memories of the early auxiliary days. George was a good police officer then and for the next 30 years. Hampden was very fortunate to have him. Glad I was able to talk to him at the recent Police fund raiser dinner at the Senior Center. Our condolence to you Nancy.

Dear Nancy. We are very saddened to hear of George's passing. He was a dear friend and will always be in our hearts for the love and support he gave to us when Kricor died. You both are fine examples of the "goodness " of Hampden which I truly miss. Pat

To our Uncle George who was more than an uncle. He was a husband, a father,a brother and a friend. He was a veteran, a police officer, and a Police Chief. There are not enough words to describe this wonderful man. He was there on all the Holidays with his apron on, knife in hand cutting up a Turkey or a Ham. Uncle George was a man of giving and kindness. His advocation was helping the older folks, not only his mother, but his mother-in-law. So to our Uncle George may you Rest In Peace as we will never forget you. Amen

George gave quiet love and support to all he met...family, friends, strangers. He was unselfish, kind, and giving. "Be the change you want to see in the world." ( Mahatma Gandhi) That is how George lived his life.
