Irish Soda Bread

  • 3 cups flour              
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups raisins
  • ½ stick butter

  1. Mix all the above ingredients in a large bowl
  2. In a separate bowl whisk 1 egg and 1 cup of whole milk, then add to the above mixture
  3. Sprinkle a little flour on the bottom of a round baking dish. 
  4. Place in oven and bake at 350° for 60 minutes
