Martha Worthington

Martha (Charbonneau) Worthington, 92, of East Longmeadow, passed away on May 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. Martha was born in Springfield on October 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Edward and Marie Ann (Levesque) Charbonneau. Martha was a member of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow. She also was the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in East Longmeadow. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Robert C. Worthington, and a son Robert E. Worthington, a granddaughter Julie Shea, and a daughter-in-law Diane Worthington, a brother Roland Charbonneau and two sisters Beatrice Hetu and Gabriel Kellogg.  Martha is survived by her five children Richard Worthington of East Longmeadow, Gerald Worthington of Springfield, Phyllis Okamura and her husband Casey of Holyoke, Janice Chicoine and her husband Michel of Springfield and Mary Bready of Warren, and she leaves twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 9a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01118. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
